Professional Tree Surveys & Inspections in the New Forest

Woodland

Arbor Bear Tree Specialists provides professional tree surveys and inspections across the New Forest, Lymington and surrounding areas of Hampshire and Dorset, helping homeowners, landowners and commercial clients understand the health, condition and safety of their trees.

Whether you are concerned about a single mature tree, managing trees across a larger property or simply want professional advice before deciding what work is required, our experienced arborists can assess your trees and provide clear, practical recommendations.

Tree Health & Condition Inspections

Trees can develop structural weaknesses, disease, decay and other defects that are not always obvious from ground level. A professional tree inspection can help identify potential concerns early and determine whether remedial work or ongoing monitoring is required.

Our tree inspections consider the overall health, condition and structure of the tree, together with its location and surrounding environment.

Depending on the tree and your requirements, we can assess for:

  • signs of disease, decay or fungal activity

  • dead, damaged or declining branches

  • structural weaknesses, cracks or defects

  • poor branch unions and areas of potential failure

  • tree stability and overall condition

  • pests, disease and declining tree health

  • potential risks to nearby buildings, roads, gardens and property

  • appropriate pruning, management or removal recommendations

Where tree work is recommended, Arbor Bear can advise on the most appropriate course of action and carry out the necessary professional tree care.

Concerned About a Tree?

If a tree has changed appearance, developed dead branches, suffered storm damage, begun leaning or simply doesn't look healthy, arranging an inspection can help establish what is happening before deciding on the next step.

Where appropriate, our arborists will recommend options such as tree pruning, crown reduction, deadwood removal, ongoing monitoring or tree removal.

Our approach is always based on the individual tree. Removal is not automatically the answer, and where a tree can be safely retained and appropriately managed, we will advise accordingly.

Protected Trees, TPOs & Conservation Areas

Trees throughout the New Forest may be subject to a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or additional controls because they are located within a Conservation Area.

If recommended work involves a protected tree, Arbor Bear can help establish the relevant requirements and manage TPO applications or Conservation Area notifications on your behalf before approved tree work is carried out.

This means you can work with us from the initial tree inspection and professional recommendation through to the planning process and completion of the required tree work.
